How is your soap different from the mass-produced soap in the store?

Serenity soaps are truly SOAP, not detergent. They contain food grade vegetable oils, pure honey, goat milk, essential oils, natural oxides (for color) and organic botanicals. Our soaps are handmade, in small batches with loving care and strict quality control. (Chocolate Marble can be ordered with or without fragrance.)

Most of the ¡°soap¡± you find in the supermarket is actually a detergent, very similar to the harsh chemicals you use to wash your dishes or your car.

They usually contain animal fats (tallowate), petroleum derivatives (cresol), synthetic colorings, synthetic fragrances and other cheap chemicals (see below). The ingredients sound like they came right off the shelf of a chemistry lab¡ because they did!

How do you make your soap?

The process of saponification is the reaction between an alkali (sodium or potassium hydroxide), and a fatty acid (can be animal or vegetable fats). When these two compounds are mixed together, they react chemically, creating new molecules - soap and glycerin. Our handmade soaps retain all the natural glycerin created in the soapmaking process; we don¡¯t remove it and sell the glycerin like commercial manufacturers do. We then add our own special proprietary combination of organic botanicals, essential oils and natural coloring to make truly beautiful, sensuous soaps that you¡¯ll look forward to using.

Do you mail out free samples?

Due to the overwhelming number of requests for samples, we are no longer able to send out free samples of our products.

Do you have a physical storefront or shop?

We do not have a shop at this time. Serenity Products are only available through our secure online catalog.

What are you business hours?

Our Online Store operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Our Customer Service Dept. is available Monday to Friday from 9 Am to 5 PM PDT.
